Introductory Lesson Special - Our new Director of Instruction, Seth Glasco is offering two special private lesson packages. The first package is one private lesson a week for the next three months. This 12-lesson package will allow you to focus on all facets of the game! The cost of this package is $1,200, a savings of 20% off the regular lesson price. The second package is two lessons a month for the next three months. This six-lesson package will be customized to each individual golfer to focus on specific needs. Save the Date - The months of April and May Always Mean Two Things Magic and Mania. - The Chiricahua, Cochise, and Geronimo courses will once again play host to these huge events for both men and women in what is one of the biggest member-guest events in the country.
The women's Mountain Magic tournament will be held on Wednesday, April 23 through Saturday, April 26 In addition, there will be optional events including a putting contest, shootout and daily team buy-in competitions. Junior Golf
Saturday Junior Golf Clinics - These workshops are designed to introduce the game to our beginner juniors and enhance the playing ability of our experienced juniors. Full swing, short game, on course management, and the rules of golf will be instructed through games and friendly competition. Juniors will also learn many fun techniques for practice and preparation for competition. Each Saturday will be designated to a specific area of the game. Finally, the instruction will mirror the age and ability of the juniors attending.

Tuesday Private Half-Hour Lessons and On Course Instruction - The Tuesday private lessons are an opportunity for juniors that seek out a more Private 1-on-1 setting where the instruction is tailored to their needs. These lessons will be offered every Tuesday at Renegade starting at 3:00 pm (excluding major holidays and club events). The Tuesday lessons will run through April 17th. We will take! one Tuesday per month and take the juniors on the course for instruction at 4:00 pm. On course instruction will include course strategy, different rules situations and overall knowledge of "playing" the game. The cost for the Tuesday Private Lessons and the On Course Instruction will be $20.00 per junior.
Friday Play Days - The Friday Play Days are designed to get juniors and parents out for late afternoon golf. Play Days will be at Renegade starting at 3:00 p.m. Tee times will be blocked for juniors and parents so they may play at a comfortable pace without the pressure of other golfers pushing from behind. There is NO COST for Friday Play Days.

2/29 - Men's Shootout - Every Other Friday. This event is designed for the advanced tennis players. The Shootout will run from roughly 1-3 p.m. every other Friday. All players will bring $10 cash. We will run a semi round robin with the winner receiving 50% of the pot. Second place will receive 30%, and third will receive 20%.! 3/11 - Rombauer Vineyards Wine Dinner - Tuesday. 6:30 p.m. Apache. $85 per person. In 1982 Koerner Rombauer broke ground on a new winery near the town of St. Helena in Napa Valley. Since then, the entire Rombauer family has participated in making Rombauer one of the most recognized names in the industry. On March 11th Desert Mountain is honored to welcome National Sales Director, KR Rombauer for a memorable night of great wine and food.

This is an all-new C.A.R.E. event created with your complete enjoyment in mind. Members of the Desert Mountain community are invited to join fellow resident and host, Mr. Leo Hauser, at a special reception and dinner starting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 13th at the Desert Mountain Cochise/Geronimo Clubhouse (10333 Rockaway Hills Drive) where guests will have an opportunity to learn about how researchers at the University of Iowa are tackling this challenging health issue by studying the underlying genetic causes of blinding eye diseases and using genetics to create innovative therapies ! to treat, delay, cure and eventually prevent blinding eye diseases. You will be joined by special guest, Chicago Cubs All-Star, Derrek Lee.
There is a $250 per person fee to attend with a portion being tax-deductible. A limited number of table sponsorships are also available for groups. Special silent auction items and prizes will be available and promise to add fun to a meaningful and memorable evening. Desert Mountain Outdoor Club members are enjoying weekly bike rides - Typically, these early morning rides stage from either Outlaw or Renegade Clubhouse parking lots, and last from one to two hours. These rides are informal outings where participants provide their own gear, transportation, are responsible for their own safety and well being, and are not bound to any agenda or schedule. New Desert Mobile Service Car Detailing - In our ongoing efforts to provide quality service to our members, Desert Mountain is pleased to announce that it has obtained the services of local automobile wash and detail specialist, Desert Mobile Detailers, owned and operated by Justin Blue.
